Serena Confalonieri

A Milan-based designer and art director, Serena Confalonieri works in the fields of product, interior, graphic and textile design, collaborating with leading companies and artisans in Italy and abroad. Her strongly distinctive style is built around a graphic, colourful and emotional vision, with decorative hyperboles and geometric forms. Unexpected subjects, chromatic and material combinations, anthropomorphic and zoomorphic inspirations give life to projects where design is interpreted with an ironic sensibility and, conversely, play becomes design. Over the years, Serena Confalonieri has created products and collections for major companies in the furniture and design sector. Alongside institutions of the calibre of Triennale Milano, Fondazione Cologni, Michelangelo Foundation, Coin Casa and Elle Decor, Mexico Design Week, she has taken part in projects aimed at guiding small and extraordinary artisan realities towards more contemporary forms and products, with the goal of preserving and bringing to light a savoir-faire otherwise at risk of extinction. Serena has been selected for design residencies and workshops in Italy and abroad (New York, Mexico, Portugal). Her projects have been published in leading periodicals and industry magazines (The New York Times, Corriere della Sera, Il Sole 24 Ore, Wallpaper, Interni, Ottagono, L'Officiel, Elle Décor…); she has received significant recognition including the Interior Innovation Award by Architonic and honorary mentions at the Young&Design Awards and the German Design Awards. Her works have been exhibited in prestigious design venues such as the Triennale di Milano and the Galleria di Rossana Orlandi.
