Oki Sato (1977)
Design chief and founder of NENDO, OKI SATO was born in 1977 in Toronto, Canada. He received his Master's degree in architecture from Waseda University in Tokyo in 2002 and in the same year founded the design studio Nendo. He was named by Newsweek magazine as one of the "100 Most Respected Japanese" and has earned numerous major awards including Designer of the Year from Wallpaper magazine, Elle Deco magazine, Maison&Objet Paris, and Guest of Honour from the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair. Oki Sato has been lecturing at Waseda University since 2012.
