Cristina Celestino

Cristina Celestino was born in 1980 in Pordenone. In 2005, after completing her studies at the Faculty of Architecture IUAV in Venice, she collaborated with prestigious design studios, dedicating her attention to interior architecture and design. In 2009 she moved to Milan, where she founded the brand Attico Design: a collection of lamps and furnishings distinguished by careful research into materials and forms. In 2012 she was selected to participate in Salone Satellite and, following this important experience, Attico Design projects were exhibited in numerous international galleries and showrooms. As a designer and architect, Cristina Celestino creates exclusive projects for private clients and companies. Her work also encompasses creative direction for brands and the design of interiors and installations. Cristina has been honoured with several international awards, including the Special Jury Prize at the "Salone del Mobile.Milano Award" in 2016 and the ELLE DECO International Design Awards for the "Plumage" wall covering project for BottegaNove.  Cristina is a passionate collector of Italian Design masterpieces and an inquisitive investigator of objects: her work is rooted in observation and research. In her projects, which emerge from a deep exploration of the potential of forms and functions, historical and contemporary references drawn from the worlds of fashion, art and design converge. The common thread running through the pieces she creates is a defined and rigorous geometry and a careful manipulation of traditional forms: her projects also feature variations in scale and small strokes of brilliance that play between conventional messages and hidden, unexpected meanings.
