Cristian Mohaded

Cristián Mohaded is an Industrial Designer born in a rural area of Argentina (Catamarca) in 1980. He graduated from the National University of Córdoba. Shortly after graduating, he moved to Buenos Aires, where he established his studio.
Today, Cristián Mohaded is a prolific designer, interior decorator and artistic director, and is a well-known reference point in the field of Argentine design. In 2013, the Twist #2 chair, (designed in collaboration with Architect Ricardo Blanco) was selected by Dominique Forest and approved by the museum committee to become part of the permanent design collection of the "Musée Les Arts Décoratifs" in Paris, thus becoming the first Argentine product to be included in this collection. The object was appreciated, among the numerous projects exhibited during the design festival, for its representative value of Argentine design and for the work carried out by the two designers, both representatives of two different generations.
Recently, the designer was selected for Maison&Objet Americas 2015 along with seven other emerging talents from North and South America, as a "Rising American Talent". Each of them represents their own country, and reflects the innovative and emerging talent in their respective field of design.
