This highly coveted honour rewards the innovation, functionality and design of each product in competition. For the 2022 edition, a team of 50 international experts from different specialist areas tested, analysed and evaluated each product individually. An international guarantee of excellence first introduced in 1955, today the Red Dot Award is one of the most prestigious and oldest awards in the world of design. Born from the vision of Philippe Nigro, the Beaulieu chair reinterprets the genetic code of GTV and bentwood, its main archetype: the chair is distinguished by the sinuous and welcoming backrest whose harmonious encounter with the back legs gives life to the armrests that wrap around the seat, inviting you to enjoy a moment of relaxation.

The Red Dot Best of the Best 2022 adds to the prizes won by Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, which include the Red Dot Best of the Best for the 2020 edition with N.200 by Michael Anastassiades and the mention in 2021 for NYNY by storagemilano, together with the numerous IF Design Awards handed out in 2020 to N.200 by Anastassiades and the Rue headboard by GamFratesi, the Loie lounge chairs by Chiara Andreatti and Chignon by LucidiPevere respectively in 2019 and 2018, and the iconic Hideout from Front honoured with the IF Gold Award 2016.
