The Paris Flora Danica restaurant, with interior design by the Danish GamFratesi architect duo, has won the prestigious Wallpaper Design Award as Best New Restaurant for 2018.
This Danish brasserie, the new Ville Lumière cult meeting place, is inspired by the natural elements and evokes a cosy yet refined atmosphere that perfectly suits the location – the historic Maison du Danemark, home of the Danish Cultural Institute in Paris.
To enhance the typical Scandinavian pure lines of the elegant surroundings, the GamFratesi designers have chosen the Targa armchair and sofa of their own design, initially created for Gebrüder Thonet Vienna GmbH. Here the combination is proposed with a delicate upholstery which merges perfectly with the interior, a new perfect set for the iconic collection characterised by the curved beech frame that supports the large seat cushion and the padded back, edged in wovencane, to which is attached the elliptical motif label which identifies the design.
