GTV’s timeless elegance is highlighted in the limited edition of the LEHNSTUHL lounge-chair by Nigel Coates and the POSTMUNDUS chair by Martino Gamper, designed for Pamono. Pamono is a Berlin-based e-commerce portal and on-line magazine specialised in vintage and contemporary design. Two charming chairs which feature unique finishings, numbered and branded with Coates’ and Gamper’s signature. The LEHNSTHUL lounge-chair for Pamono is an exclusive version made from 25 pieces with a fluorescent orange frame combined with a woven cane chair and backrest. From a stylistic point of view, LEHNSTUHL showcases Gebrüder Thonet Vienna’s key features reinterpreted in the eccentric style of famous English designer, Nigel Coates. LEHNSTUHL’s complexity is visible in the structure of the chair, which varies in thickness: the bent wood shapes into wide armrests which highlight the backrest and the comfortable upholstered or woven cane seat which features a unique loose mesh design. The brainchild of Martino Gamper’s creative flair, POSTMUNDUS for Pamono is a bold piece of furniture in an elegant green structure and blue velvet seat. It is made of 60 pieces. Five pieces of bent wood shape the unmistakeable profile of POSTMUNDUS, a chair designed by Gamper in 2012, which in 2015 was added to the Wiener GTV design collection. Irony and lightness turn the legs and the backrest into symmetrical elements, which constantly communicate with tradition: it is an interplay of mirrors which multiply the shapes, resulting in some sort of visual echo, which features bent wood as its protagonist. The limited edition LEHNSTUHL and POSTMUNDUS chairs are already available on Pamono.
