Gebrüder Thonet Vienna GmbH is the general contractor of the Politeama in Tolentino, a new cultural space in the city that was officially inaugurated on 18th April thanks to Franco Moschini, chairman of the Moschini Foundation that funded the theatre’s entire restoration.
The architectural design was entrusted to Michele de Lucchi and focused on refurbishing the historic Cinema Teatro Piceno, preserving some of the elements of its past while also introducing new concepts for its rooms, proposing a unique and innovative space within the fascinating Art-Nouveau building from 1926.
Equally balanced to host both educational activities and entertainment, the Politeama has got a variety of rooms including one for dance, three for music and theater rehearsals, an audiovisual room for 40 people, a 170-seat auditorium and a foyer with a coffee shop. A new and multifaceted meeting place where entertainment and culture combine to bring back that cultural mix that has made Tolentino stand out as a lively, avant-garde city.
Politeama’s furnishings were entrusted entirely to Gebrüder Thonet Vienna GmbH (GTV), as a general contractor, historic Viennese company that has designed a series of custom products for the theatre.
