A new destination for refined globetrotters, the De Witt Hotel in Amsterdam occupies a series of buildings from the 17th century and the 1980’s that have been brought together with elegance, transcending time and space.
The interiors, with modern and refined designed, hold some furnishings manufactured by Gebrüder Thonet Vienna GmbH.
The elegant entrance hall is divided into several spacious living rooms with a minimalist atmosphere and relaxed tones, a perfect fit for the Lehnstuhl lounge chairs and the Czech chairs.
The furnishings by GTV also enrich the winter garden, an area available to guests for relaxing moments, where we find the elegant sofas belonging to the Targa collection, ideal elements for areas destined for intimate socializing and gatherings, with an unconventional personality.
The sophisticated features of the Lehnstuhl, designed by Nigel Coates and characterized by a structure with a variable frame, endow this lounge chair with a welcoming shape, enriched by arms that broaden its form and emphasize the broad lines of the backrest.
Produced by the Italian-Danish duo GamFratesi, the Targa sofas, whose name originates from the ellipsoid name-plate inserted at the edge of the backrest, stand out because of their comfortable seat cushions supported by a curved beechwood structure and a stuffed backrest that ends in a Vienna straw rim, all characteristic elements of this brand’s tradition.
The Czech chair takes its name from its designer, Hermann Czech, who marked the shift in modern furnishings towards intimacy in 1994 by designing a chair with the current design that seems to belong to another area and features a solid and resistant appearance.
A new destination on the journey to the world of Gebrüder Thonet Vienna GmbH, which implements refined international contract projects with its timeless elegance.
