Take Me Out

The icons of Gebrüder Thonet Vienna rediscover Milan in a photographic project by Beppe Brancato, set in the city’s cult venues — where historical atmospheres meet contemporary details.

The pieces that made the brand’s history are captured at the bar counter, in the dining room of a restaurant, surrounded by the electric and polished atmosphere typical of Milanese venues — places that witness encounters and new stories

Jamaica BAR

In the heart of Brera, Jamaica Bar has always been a creative refuge for artists, architects, and intellectuals. A place where past and present intertwine — just like in the pieces by Gebrüder Thonet Vienna. Here, our vision engages with history: among wood paneling, cocktails, and curved geometries, a cultured, vibrant, and deeply Milanese aesthetic takes shape.

CAMPARINO in galleria

At the historic Bar di Passo at Camparino in Galleria, overlooking Piazza Duomo, Hermann Czech’s Czech armchairs enjoy the show of a freshly crafted cocktail. The curved beechwood and clean lines blend with the room’s refined details, creating a magnetic contrast.

Upstairs, in the Spiritiello room, two versions of the Magistretti 03 01 chair — in red and black — meet among refined weaves of bent wood. Beside the metallic-toned counter, Martino Gamper’s Cirque stool stands out for the sculptural elegance of its wooden circles, perfectly balancing functionality and style.

LA CONCA

The authentic spirit of the bar and social club — with green laminate tables and palladiana floors — blends naturally with the world of the brand. The iconic N.14 and Wiener Stuhl stand out and playfully echo the retro details of the interior. Simple, versatile, and always contemporary, they are the result of nearly twenty years of technological research.

MOTEL OMBROSO

Overlooking the Naviglio, Motelombroso is a place suspended between nature, design, and gastronomic exploration. In this sophisticated and immersive setting, some icons of Gebrüder Thonet Vienna fit naturally: the Schaukelstuhl rocking chair, the Kleiderständer coat rack, and the Hideout armchair in lime green engage in a dialogue with lights, volumes, and atmosphere, subtly renewing the connection between memory and contemporaneity.

PALINURO

In the lively Città Studi district, Palinurobar combines ’70s design with a retro atmosphere. Martino Gamper’s Trio stools furnish the bar with soft lines and essential geometries.
Outside, the red Magistretti 03 01 chair and the low burgundy Trio stool echo the neon sign, becoming part of the urban scenery.

BAR PARADISO

In the lively Porta Romana district, Bar Paradiso is a dynamic and international meeting point. Here, Adolf Loos’s Loos Café Museum chair (1898) and Martino Gamper’s Trio stool fit naturally. Refined and timeless objects that come alive today in the most contemporary spaces.

Under the counter, hanging as if forgotten there by a bohemian traveler, the Stocksessel becomes a surreal detail: a walking stick, a folding stool, or perhaps just a poetic object waiting for a new story.
