The Targa lounge chair and sofa were selected for the Flora Danica restaurant’s interior design project, curated by Danish duo GamFratesi, who also created upholstery collections for Gebrüder Thonet Vienna GmbH.
The Danish brasserie is located in the heart of the French capital, and is characterised by a warm and friendly atmosphere. The name, Flora Danica identifies perfectly with the inspiration behind this wonderful and elegant location characterised by natural features, enhanced by the Scandinavian style of design, creating a final effect that gives a simple and refined aesthetic.
The Targa lounge chair and sofa by GamFratesi are outlined by a curved beechwood frame that holds a large cushion and backrest enriched by its border of Vienna straw, which gives the project its name. With its elegantly curved profile, these two elements fit perfectly together in this project, adapting to different environments within the venue and welcoming guests into its rooms. To achieve a perfect colour combination between the chairs and the space, the Targa pieces are covered in muted tones inspired by nature, which add to the neutral colours used throughout the venue.
Thanks to the variety of fabrics, styles and know-how of the company, the collections proposed in the Gebrüder Thonet Vienna catalogue can adapt to architects and designers‘ every need, becoming a valuable element of the contract.
